❓ FAQ – AKG K701 ear pads

Are these original AKG ear pads?

These are high-quality compatible replacement ear pads designed to fit AKG K701 headphones. They are not official AKG parts but are made to match the original size and comfort.

Do these ear pads fit AKG K702 or K712?

These ear pads are designed for AKG K701. Some similar AKG models may look close, but for the best fit it is recommended to choose ear pads made specifically for each model.

Why choose velour ear pads?

Velour ear pads are softer and more breathable than leather-type materials. They reduce heat build-up and are ideal for long listening sessions, studio work, gaming, or hi-fi use.

Will new ear pads improve sound quality?

Worn ear pads can affect the fit and comfort of the headphones. Replacing them helps restore the original position on the ears, which can make listening more comfortable and consistent.

Are these ear pads comfortable for long sessions?

Yes. The combination of velour fabric and high-density foam makes these pads very comfortable, even during long studio sessions, mixing, gaming, or extended listening.

How do I know when to replace my ear pads?

You should replace ear pads when the foam becomes flat, the fabric feels rough, or the headphones no longer feel comfortable. New pads can make your headphones feel almost like new again.

Is installation difficult?

No. The ear pads can usually be replaced at home. Simply remove the old pads carefully and press the new ones evenly around the ear cup until they fit securely.

Are these ear pads durable?

Yes. The velour material and high-density foam are designed for long-term use, with good resistance to wear compared to worn original pads.

Do velour pads feel different from leather pads?

Yes. Velour pads feel softer and more breathable, while leather-type pads may feel warmer but provide stronger isolation. Many users prefer velour for comfort.

What is included in the package?

The package includes one pair of replacement ear pads (left and right) for AKG K701 headphones.
